The Candidoni farm covers 260 hectares and cultivates hay, corn, and sorghum for animal fodder. The animals are then fed balanced rations to maximise the milk quality.

Fattoria della Piana strives to turn typical waste into a resource: from organic manure to replicating natural cycles, everything is screened to minimise environmental impact, which is usually high on a farm of this capacity.
Biogas plant production is the farm’s signature. It’s powered by various residues from the agribusiness and livestock industries and all the whey leftover from dairy processing. The fermenters ensure that any potential waste becomes electricity that can power an estimated 2,680 households.
