Birra Cala is 100% craft beer brewed with water from the slopes of Pollino National Park. The family-run brewery was founded in 2022 as a project by Luigi De Caprio and his children: Antonio, Alfredo, Marida, and Marco.
The chosen payoff, "CARATTERE CALABRO" (CALABRIAN CHARACTER), tells of their love for the land and desire to create excellent products that exemplify the spectacular surroundings.

The brewery’s myriad accolades, both national and beyond, include "Delirio” being named Best Bock in the World at the 2023 edition of the World Beer Awards.
Labels of note include Le Muse (the muses), three bottles from a line dedicated to Calabrian excellence; Diavolicchia, a golden ale with Calabrian chilli peppers; Citrusina, a citron blanche; and Àguila Negra, a stout made with Colombian coffee.
Don't miss "Le Iga Di Calabria", a grape must ale produced in collaboration with five Calabrian wineries.
